4x4 & Camping in Australia | Exploring Tasmania by 4WD | Episode 4 | Climes Track Carnage
Welcome to @Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry are joined by a few of the young lads (AKA Scooters) for a 4WD adventure through the remote regions of Tasmania. Our plan is to explore as many remote regions on as many four wheel drive tracks as we can discover. In this video we explore the Pieman River and the Climes track, one of the best 4WD destinations in Tasmania.
If Tasmania 4WD adventures and off-road tracks, remote camping, and hiking are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, if you like camping from your 4x4 then this is the place to be.

    What an interesting help-vid -- thanks! Very important: has the TS software been vetted for malware or trojans that may infect the car's components? What are the chances of accidentally overwriting and screwing up the car's ECU firmware via the Techstream software? Will it also detect and reprogram TPMS via the mini-vci?

    That part number (They don't make the VD10010018SP according to ARB, use VD10010019SP,) at the time of this writing was extremely hard to find. Save yourself some heartache and look for a "COM12T" by FK Bearing. Extremely common. This is the EXACT same bearing that is being used in the lower shock mount. I just replaced mine and that is what it said right on the side of the bearing that was removed. Now the part number on the package in this video may be a kit that supplies the o-rings and lock springs but you can usually reuse those. The spring is a good idea to replace but the o-ring you may consider tossing in the trash as they are supposed to help keep the dirt out but what they really end up doing is keeping what does get in, in. Just replaced mine without the o-ring and yes, too early to tell right now but just putting this info out there in case you are having a hard time finding VD10010019SP.

    I see the unifilter definitely works from your other vids. Have you ever thought of changing to a Donaldson ?

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures 8 дней назад

      Absolutely not mate. Not because I do not trust Donaldson, but I DO trust the unifilter. I have run them on my dirt bikes for decades, on my 80 series for 20 plus years, and now on the 200. Yes they are messy, yes you need to service them regularly (especially in dusty conditions) but THEY WORK. I put a smear of white grease on the intake track of my 80 series (as a telltale dust tracker) when I first installed the filter. 20 years later, and hundreds of thousand km's on dusty tracks, and that white grease was as clean as the day I put it in there. Never had a hint of dust in my 200 either, even with the filter box being a real shitty design. Best of all, the kit is like $100 bucks or something, compared to 10x that for a donaldson (not counting the service costs of new filters). I'll stick with what I have until the day I tap out of 4WDing!! Cheers mate.

    For anyone who encounters “licence expired” issue do this. 1. Don’t follow set up where he changes region, leave it as it is. 2. Replace MainMenu.exe file in the install directory on C: with the one in extras folder on desktop. This will set the program expiration date for 3000 days. Changing region will render #2 invalid.

      As per vid, it's from a company called Air On Board (AOB). Google is your friend. Cheers

    I recently had almost identical problem but with Bilstein not ome. On a bt50 on the pdr up near Cape York. Was able to ratchet strap the strut straighter and ended up driving approx 650klms back to Atherton ( some corrugations some bitumen) Didn't have a broken cv though, just the abs / wheel speed sensor that I was able to solder back together and get back on the road. Had never heard of this happening before, and yet to reach out to manufacturer to see if they want feedback etc Great outcome from arb though!

    You’re lucky getting them replaced by ARB. I’ve had a strut break on my hilux after 2 years. The strut didn’t have the stroke for the lift. (It bottomed the strut before it touched the bump stops) they basically told me to get lost. My parents snapped a front ARB strut on their 200 landcruiser and we didn’t bother. Both were lucky to not cause a crash. They break more often than you think. We live out of town and drive on dirt roads but it’s not exactly off road. It’s maintained rubble.
